I previously owned three of these crochet hooks years ago when they were Louet Kollage and they were excellent crochet hooks but they somehow went missing. Found these, placed an order and upon receipt tried them out and these hooks are nowhere near their former quality. The grip and points are still outstanding; however, the shaft is no longer as smooth and there is friction when crocheting with any type of yarn and the bevel cut into the shaft that leads to the throat of the hook is not smooth on the edges and catches the yarn and impedes the smooth motion of the stitches. Either the cutting tool was dull or the final polishing step was missed. I even contacted Kollage and the options given me were not acceptable given the price of these hooks. Returning for exchange and taking the chance at getting another defective hook is not practical or using extra fine sandpaper to smooth the roughness on the bevel edges is something that I would not undertake.
