The hooks are really good quality. The word feels almost silky and the connectors are smooth. The natural variations in color are very pretty. This kit has more hooks than most (12) plus all the necessary accessories so it's a pretty good buy. I believe the case may be textured vinyl, but it has the very convincing look and feel of waxed canvas. Overall very pleased with the set.
