I bought this for my mother whose been using Sunbeam stand mixers most of her life. She likes how easy the mixer is to use and the bowls of her previous Sunbeam fit this model. Even though she's 92 she does alot of baking.I'm satisfied, if not thrilled with this mixer. For many years I had a Cuisinart stand mixer that was a dream come true. It finally died so I bought a new Cuisinart with the single blade. The blade was so high in the bowl that it wouldn't even blend eggs! Also the mixer was built into the stand and couldn't be removed and even without the splash guard there was no way to add ingredients or scrape the sides while in use. It was a bad joke that didn't function for me at all. I returned it and decided to buy this Sunbeam that is much more like my old mixer and am happy enough with it. I wish it had come with a whisk. Old attachments don't fit so I might buy one direct from Sunbeam. Also this doesn't seem to be powerful enough to blend dough so I may end up buying a more powerful handheld unit for bread and masa. This mixer is A-OK though for cakes, cookies and all my other uses. This is very easy to use and gets the job done. Easy to add ingredients and bowl adjusts around beaters. What I like......Power is adequate, size is good, bowl has tabs to hold it in place when in use. What I don't like.......Too much plastic! Plastic breaks! For the price, it IS a decent mixer. If this is within your price range, I would recommend it.Given to granddaughter for Christmas and she really likes it. She’s very very happy with her mixer.I like the weight of it. Super lightweight. The beaters did not do a good job of mashing the potatoes there was big chunks no matter how long I beat them. Not impressed with the beaters or the bowl. It’s OK for mixing cookies brownies or cakes. I don’t think I would buy this again. It’s not as nice as my last two mixers. My old ones was discontinued. This has a plastic base. My other ones were metal. I was afraid it would be top heavy, but it’s not. I haven’t used it yet, I hope it mixes as well as my others did. My main complaint is the numbers on the speed control dial are gray instead of white as shown in pictures of the mixer. They are really hard to see. It isn’t as heavy as my other mixers, that’s nice. I really hope this works as well as my other mixers did.The mixer I think is fine. The top casing is not aluminum so that may bother some folks.I am an occasional baker so I think this is fine for me.Everything else was good.Easy to clean.Worked well with the both attachments.Liked the big bowl.I'm not sure there are even words to say how disappointed I am in this piece of garbage. I have had a Sunbeam mixer for over 12 years and loved it, so didn't really think twice in ordering a new one. HUGE mistake. Biggest piece of garbage I have ever tried to use. Flimsy plastic base, poorly put together mixer top, bowl has issues staying on the base, can't scrape the sides while it's mixing cause it literally stops, and it couldn't even mix margarine and sugar together. I have seen kids' kitchen toys that are made better. It is going back asap. Do NOT waste your money on this thing. This is more or less what I expect from a Sunbeam Mixmaster - which I am used to using for about 30 years or so - except I only used someone else’s and now this one is mine.So I was pleased when it arrived but disappointed to see that despite the fact that every other one I have used has two and there is a setting for 2 sizes, it only comes with 1 large bowl. WHERE IS THE SMALL BOWL?!I had to replace my last sunbeam mixer that I had for 23 years. Unfortunately the motor seized RIP old mixer. This one is similar in looks and power but that is pretty much it. It only came with one bowl and had I known the bowl locks into place on the turntable I wouldn't have bought it. It is a nuisance. Also the bowl is deep therefore making it awkward to pour into a loaf or cake pan.Serves the purpose of making dough.Requires step down converter if you are in India.Have to shell out additional to purchase the same.Durability the steel bowl in not quite stable shakes a lot.For a low cost buy and small beginner level cooking this is apt.Go for higher end models if it's expert level or large scale cooking.I have had a KitchenAid. This is not comparable. It is very lightweight and doesn't have the power a kitchenAid has. It can do light work but if you need a dependable mixer this is not it.
