Description
The 33WL offers the highest degree of tongue relief in a dressage legal mouthpiece. The 33WL port has been widened considerably to permit plenty of room for the tongue. Because this mouthpiece does not rotate on to the tongue and the port is wide, it applies little to no tongue pressure, working primarily off the bars and lips, incorporating some chin and poll pressure depending on the cheekpiece. I bought this bit bc one of my horses was starting some head shaking, so I wanted to try the tough relief design. I’ve ended up riding several horses in this bit, not just him. They are all much quieter with their mouths which tells me the bit is more comfortably for them. It has resulted in more responsiveness to my aids. I wish I had known about this type of bit long ago
